So aside from hating HBO’s Girls for its utter lack of diversity (honestly, what have we come to expect from television today?), what might irk me the most is the fact that the storyline implies that the producers and writers of this show clearly believe the great struggle of my generation is having shallow friendships and really terrible sex.

Seriously, my generation is filled with incredible activists and organizers, feminists, immigrants, people of color, queer folks, all fighting hard battles and doing incredible things. And the only show you can come up with is some whiny, cis, straight, White girls having shitty relationships?
